Can I install Compufox transceivers on Cisco, 3Com, HP equipment without affecting the warranty of the equipment the transceivers are being installed into?

It is a misconception to think that using third party transceivers will void your switch warranty. The truth is they do not. And more importantly, it is against the law for the OEM to say it does. The Federal Trade Commission's Magnuson-Moss Act protects consumers from this misconception! Under this act consumer warranties cannot include tie-in sales. In other words, Manufacturers cannot oblige you to buy their transceivers to keep their switch warranty valid.

Return Policy

In order to return a defective product to Compufox, the following is needed:

- An RMA number: Please call us at 305-865 8517 or e-mail us to [email protected] to request an RMA number.

- A copy of the original invoice.

The customer will ship the returned products to Compufox at his expense.

Compufox will pay the shipping cost to send the replacement products.

Very Important: Please make sure to select the correct transceiver for your router or switch. Should you have any doubts about which transceiver will work for your switch or router, please call us at 305-865 8517 or e-mail us to [email protected].

All defective products returned to Compufox must be accompanied by a printed test report showing that they did not work.

Returns must be made within 30 days of purchase to be eligible for a refund. Products returned to Compufox that are not defective are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
